# Features not available to anonymous users

Anonymous accounts let you try W\&B without signing up, but several features are restricted. Review the following limitations so you can decide whether to create a real account before logging important work.

* **No persistent data**: Anonymous accounts retain runs for 7 days. Claim anonymous run data by saving it to a real account.

* **No artifact logging**: When you log an artifact to an anonymous run, a warning appears on the command line:
  ```bash theme={null}
  wandb: WARNING Artifacts logged anonymously cannot be claimed and expire after 7 days.
  ```

* **No profile or settings pages**: The UI doesn't include certain pages, because they're only useful for real accounts.
